Architecture & Access joins ASRC’s Feast for Freedom to raise funds and awareness.
Our commitment to inclusion extends beyond the built environment – it’s also about supporting the communities we serve. That’s why we were proud to once again take part in the Feast for Freedom, a national fundraising initiative by the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC).
Held in March, our Melbourne and Brisbane teams came together to host a shared lunch inspired by recipes gifted by refugees and people seeking asylum. Staff brought dishes from the ASRC Recipe Book as well as personal favourites from their own culture backgrounds, creating a diverse and delicious spread celebrating the power of food to connect us all.
From Mauritian pilau and Baltic potato salad to baba ghanoush and pecan pie, the Feast was a reminder of the rich cultural tapestry that makes up our team at Architecture & Access.
The Feast was about more than just food. It was a chance to raise essential funds for the ASRC, which provides services such as groceries, hot meals, housing support, and healthcare to people seeking asylum.
Thanks to the generosity of our staff and their networks, we contributed $569 to ASRC’s national fundraising goal of $320,000 helping to ensure continued support for those in need
A Longstanding Partnership with ASRC
The ASRC is one of the charities supported through our Workplace Giving Program, which allows employees to make regular donations through payroll, and matched by Architecture & Access up to a capped amount.
This initiative is part of a broader commitment to supporting the community by donating our time, skills and resources to organisations that align with our values.
We’re grateful to everyone who cooked, donated, and participated in this year’s Feast.
