We are proud to offer our employees the opportunity to volunteer their time in support of Disability Sports Australia’s sports and event days.
Architecture & Access is extremely proud to be one of Disability Sports Australia’s (DSA) Trailblazers.
Disability Sports Australia supports people with disability to engage and grow within their community through sport and recreation. Via our Workplace Giving program we support a number of charities including DSA.
Along with monetary support, there are other ways Architecture & Access provides assistance to our charities, In some circumstances, we can provide pro-bono access consulting services for small, not-for-profit organisations. We also support our staff to volunteer their time to specific events and needs of the organisations that we support through our Workplace Giving program.
Recently, Access Consultants Ploy Reilly and Zoe Phelan volunteered their time to DSA’S Abilities Unleashed program. These events are come-and-try sports days designed to promote pathways for inclusion in sports and active recreation programs within local communities. The days are full of encouragement for people living with disabilities to participate in sport and be active on a regular basis.
We are now getting ready for the next Abilities Unleased day at the Keilor Basketball Netball Stadium in early December, where Access Consultants Grace Nguyen and Vibhika Valimbe will be volunteering their time to help out all the participants and to support DSA.
If your organisation is interested in becoming a DSA Trailblazer, here is information about the program and how to join.
