An accredited access consultant is an expert in Australian disability legislation & standards and how the built environment meets these.
Stephanie began her career in access consulting at Architecture & Access in 2019. With a qualification in building design, and a background in public health, Stephanie obtained the Diploma of Access Consulting in 2021.
During her time at Architecture & Access, she has worked on a number of large and small projects across a range of building types – from health care, aged care, sporting pavilions to education facilities and residential complexes. Stephanie enjoys working with clients to develop access solutions that work for everyone.
In a world that is becoming increasingly aware of the need for inclusivity and accessibility, the ability to navigate public and private spaces is not just a luxury—it’s a right. This shift has led to a growing demand for professionals who can ensure that buildings, services, and environments comply with legal standards and, more importantly, are genuinely accessible to people with disabilities.
Earlier this year, Stephanie gained her Accreditation with the Access Consultants Association (ACA).
Stephanie explains, “Becoming an Accredited Access Consultant is a rewarding yet rigorous journey, one that requires a combination of technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and a passion for improving the lived experience of people with disabilities.
One of the most rewarding aspects of being an Accredited Access Consultant is knowing that your work directly contributes to making the world a more inclusive place. Your recommendations help eliminate barriers that people with disabilities face in daily life, whether in their homes, workplaces, or public spaces.”
