It’s busy times at A&A with two new people joining our team in Access Consulting and Architecture and Home Modification
Stephanie Loria joins the team at Architecture & Access as an Access Consultant. As part of the Access Consulting team Stephanie will ensure buildings are designed and constructed in line with the current standards related to safety and access, the Disability Discrimination Act and consider the access needs of all users particularly those with physical and sensory disabilities.
Stephanie has completed a Bachelor in Health Sciences with Honours, majoring in Public Health where she focused on public health research and the learnings of health policy, law and ethics. Following on from this degree, Stephanie continued on to complete the Advanced Diploma in Building Design and the Certificate IV in Building and Construction as she has always had an interest in design and the built environment. Combining both these backgrounds, Stephanie aims to develop her knowledge in Access and the requirements of Universal Design.
Throughout her university degree Stephanie partook in and volunteered her time to help organise multiple campaigns directed at university students and the wider public regarding positive mental health initiatives and general health and well-being.
Louise Milton joins us as a Senior Project Manager, responsible for design and leading specialist teams to deliver safe and accessible buildings and places. This is a hands on role for Louise, and she will contribute to program planning, coordination and supervision of the design and delivery on a multitude of projects.
Louise is a registered Architect who also has a degree in physiotherapy. Over the past 10 years she has been working in heritage architecture carrying out additions and alterations to buildings in the government and residential sectors. As a physiotherapist, Louise has been a manager of a community rehabilitation in a UK community team.
Louise is also kept busy as a member of the buildings and ground committee at her local school, a class representative for her children and the manager of an under 9’s soccer team.
