Architecture & Access are proud to have been involved in the Uniting Communities development known as U City. Opening its doors this month in the heart of the Adelaide CBD, this $100million, 20 storey development provides a community within one building. This includes:
- Retirement Living Apartments and facilities
- Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)
- Respite Accommodation
- Office Space
- Social Services Hub
- Function Centre
- Retail/Food & Beverage outlet
Architecture & Access were engaged by Built during the construction of the project to provide specialist consulting services to assist them in achieving compliance with SDA benchmarks, Livable Housing Design Guidelines (LHA), and AS1428.1 – Design for access and mobility, as applicable to the relevant areas of the development. Architecture & Access also provided specialist advice for the “Changing Places” sanitary facility located on Level 1 of the building.
