Helping to allow the individual to live as independently as possible
Since 2020, Architecture and Access have been working with Endeavour Foundation, when they embarked on the My Home, My Life initiative to invest $45m to renovate existing homes and build accessible new homes over four years. This is the biggest investment in purpose-built accessible housing in Endeavour Foundation’s history and will see 70 new Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) homes built, 26 existing SDA homes renovated and upgraded for accessibility and 600 homes for people with disability.
Architecture and Access have been engaged by Endeavour Foundation to provide the SDA Certification of their homes. Our Accredited SDA Assessors work closely with the team at Endeavour Foundation to ensure their homes are fit for purpose and meet all the required standards and guidelines.
Over the past few years, we have assisted with navigating the implementation of the SDA Design Standards and have seen the completion of more than 20 newly built and refurbished Endeavour Foundation homes across Queensland.
Endeavour Foundation is one of Australia’s largest providers of Supported Independent Living to help people with disability live their lives as independently as possible. Architecture & Access are proud to support the work being done by Endeavour Foundation to provide accessible housing for people with disability.
